- ABOUT US -

After more than 80 years in business, we have been a leader in interior and exterior construction in Fairfield and Westchester counties. Our team’s values are based on integrity and high-quality craftsmanship. Our construction is our art. Every stone, planting, wall, and everything in between comes with precision and care for the detail and the project as a whole.

OUR UNIQUE ADVANTAGE

Fairfield House & Garden delivers exceptional management services that cannot be replicated in Connecticut and New York. As a result, this reduces cost and adds efficiency to the project. We directly employ master craftsmen — some of whom have been with us for over 30 years. In doing so, we can eliminate unneeded layers of management and fees associated with the traditional construction model.

Furthermore, our vertically integrated company model allows for streamlined communication from the architect and client directly to our crews. This unique structure ensures exceptional artistry and proficiency throughout the life of the project.

- OUR TEAM -

Whether in our office or out in the field, our employees are considered part of our corporate family — some have been with the company since we first opened our doors. Simply stated, this kind of employee retention and consistency translates into a higher level of caring and ultimately a higher level of quality for the finished product.

JOHN R. CONTE

July 16, 1959 - April 22, 2025

Our chairman, John R. Conte, was a true visionary. He was not only a dedicated leader, but also a steward of the family legacy, carrying forward the values and principles established by the generation before him.

Many of our team members had the privilege of working alongside John for decades. His steady leadership helped grow this company through a deep commitment to the land and to the people who bring it to life. John approached each project with thoughtful intention, always mindful of the lasting impact our work has on the environments we create and the communities we serve.

We are deeply grateful for the relationships he cultivated—with clients, architects, artisans, and the community—and we remain committed to honoring those connections and continuing the work with the same care and integrity that defined his career.
